Aissa, Niger

Aissa (2010) was in 8th grade when she realized the man visiting her home was to be her husband. She enlisted the help of her aunt and uncle, her teachers and school director to convince her parents to let her stay in school at least until she failed a year. 

Aissa now has a Master's Degree in Accounting and works for Catholic Relief Service and is able to keep her 6 younger siblings in school as well.  She has a goal of improving her English.
