Several times per week during the Chicago conference, volunteers and participants alike join in cultural activities.  Lake Michigan is a shocking amount of water for desert girls; everyone likes to bowl; and what would summer be without a healthy soccer game and a piñata?  Cultural outings give everyone some time to have fun and learn new things.
